My own child is autistic with developmental needs that don't fit on any tidy chart, so I'm not coming at this from the outside — I've sat through the IEP meetings that left me crying in the parking lot and the meltdowns that had strangers staring in the grocery store. You don't have to have it together to be here. What's going on right now?
